Alba’s Surf Club: Terms and Conditions             

 

Alba's Surf Club is not a corporation or a professional surf school. It is a volunteer group of friends sharing a common passion, surfing. All Club donations get redirected to support the organizational tasks, petrol, charity and new common goods. Alba’s Surf Club raises founds to the Orphanage in Cambodia (FDCC): www.fdcc.org.au    

 

By  being a participant of Alba’s Surf Club, you expressly accept and  agree to abide by all the terms and conditions contained in this  Legal Statement.               

 

01 Terms & Conditions

 

    • ·         All members from Alba’s Surf Club acknowledge that surfing is fun as dangerous and will therefore always find a mate from each day trip to look after each other.

      ·         You declare you have read the liability Statement, uploaded at this website and agree in all terms.                           

      ·         I declare I am an experienced swimmer and I have at least an intermediate surf level. I confirm I understand the ocean and I know how to be safe in this environment.

      ·         There are surf trips scheduled for each level. Don’t sign in for an advance/ intermediate surf trip if you are a beginner.

      ·         Fill out the power point profile with your data and picture within a week of your club enrolment.                                 

      ·         The trips size have a maximum of four cars, no more than 20 members could join a surf trip even if there are available cars.

      ·         Members must respect driver’s cars. You will leave the car clean of rubbish (water bottles, sandwich wrappers…). You will not get into the car with sand in your feet or wet clothes. If you make a scratch or a non removable stain to any of the cars you will need to pay for it.    

      ·         You will be required to pay the total balance of the rental board repayments if it gets broken whilst you were using it.

      ·         You are a regular club member until you get nominated unanimously for your own merits from all Alba’s Surf Club VIP (organisational team) whom could raise your status to VIP member.                                 

      ·         3 Strikes = 1 coffee round. If you sign in for a day/weekend trip and not showing up in the morning you win 1 strike. With 3 strikes you are required to invite all members for a coffee round. You only get exempted of a strike if you sign off the trip lists 36H in advance (by contacting Alba) or showing a medical certificate.                                 

      ·         We leave Melbourne at the settle time for each trip not a second later, if you are not there on time we leave without you and you win a strike.   

      ·         Any member is free to join or not in a trip, however once you enrol in a surf trip you are required to contribute with the donations.                                 

      ·         We are an active surf club. A member becomes inactive after not joining the Surf Club activities for a month. Inactive members are signed out from the Surf Club temporally until they want to become active again.                                 

      ·         We are brothers and sisters of the waves. If you don’t behave as a mate with the surf club you could be removed from participating.                 

      ·         If you don’t fulfil any of the above terms, Alba’s Surf Club organisational team is free to remove you from the Surf Club without any further refund of membership donation.
